Fish Farm
Large-scale fisheries and environmental destruction have driven the oceans beyond their sustainable threshold. Therefore we feel it is vital to support environmentally friendly and efficient culture systems such as this one. We generate our own electricity with a hydro-turbine to power most of the trout farm and Ngare Sero Lodge. Ngare Sero means Sparkling Water in Maa and it’s in this crystal clear cold water that Rainbow Trout are organically farmed.
No cynthetic chemicals are used to treat or prevent trout disease’s, the trout feed is pelletized on site and all ingredients come from organic sources. The trout farm effluent is bio-filtered by vegetation before flowing downstream.
Organic trout such as ours have high quality taste and are very healthy (high in Omega-3 fat and good protein).
